Frequently asked questions
Where are you located?
Please visit our locations page for the address and a map of the location nearest you
How soon can I pickup a knee scooter after I order?
Immediately after you pay online we’ll send you a text message with pickup instructions. You can pick-up your knee scooter or send a friend anytime from 8am-8pm daily including weekends and holidays
Do you have knee scooters available now?
Find the location near you and you’ll be able to see exactly how many scooters are in stock. Normally we have scooters in stock and available for pick-up 7 days a week. If the indicator says “unavailable” that means they are all rented at the moment. Unfortunately, we cannot predict when the next scooter will be available
What do your knee scooters look like (pictures)?
Standard: fits 4’9″-6’6″, max 350 lbs
All-Terrain: fits 5’0″-6’6″, max 350 lbs
How do I get my doctors discount referral code?
Every foot doctor and surgeon in a city where we have a location has been given a referral code. Please contact your doctor to get this code. You can use this referral code on our website to save on your knee scooter rental.
Do I have to order online before I can try the scooter?
Yes but rentals are done 1 week at a time so it’s not a long-term commitment. If you don’t like a particular model (standard or all-terrain) you can always return it and rent the other model (subject to availability)
Do you charge a deposit?
No. We do NOT charge deposits as long as you give us a valid driver’s license at checkout ($100 deposit required without a driver’s license)
Can I pay for multiple weeks or months upfront to get a discount?
No. Our pries are hard coded into our rental system. We rent knee scooters week to week. Our rates are the most competitive in the USA. Details here
Do you take insurance?
No, all of our rentals are cash pay (paid online via credit card)
Can I rent for longer than 1 week?
Yes. Our knee scooters are rented one week at a time and do NOT have due dates. Our system will charge your credit/debit card on file once a week until you return your scooter. No deposit needed!
I'm renting a scooter and need it longer, how do I buy more time?
You don’t need to do anything. Starting on day 7 (1 week after your pickup date) your knee scooter will begin auto-renewing every week via your credit card on file. We make it simple for you so you can focus on healing. When your all healed up just return the scooter any day from 8am-8pm 365 days a year and we will stop charging your card each week
Do you accept cash, Paypal or Venmo?
No, we accept major credit cards only (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover)
Why are all-terrain knee scooters more expensive than standard knee scooters?
All-terrain models are harder to find and much more expensive to buy. Also, since they have air-filled tires they require more maintenance for us to keep in excellent condition
Do your knee scooters fit a small child or large adult?
Standard models fit children 4’9″ and taller
All terrain models fit children over 5’0″
Note: the above specs are direct from our manufacturer. However, knee pads can be lowered an extra inch by removing the kotter pin in the seat tube.
Children: typically children 8 and older can fit a standard model (depending on their height). We do not carry models that fit children under 4’9″
Large adults: both models fit riders up to 6’6″ and a max of 350 lbs. If you are above 6’6″ or over 350 lbs we recommend a Nova Heavy Duty Big & Tall knee scooter
Do the knee scooters have baskets?
Yes, all of our knee scooters have large, removable baskets. You can view scooter photos online by visiting the location near you
Are the knee scooter seats comfortable?
Yes, very much so. You shouldn’t have any issues with knee pain. The seat cushions are 2.75″ to 3″ thick
Are the seats and handlebars adjustable?
Yes. Both the seat height and handlebar height can be adjusted up or down to your comfort level. Click here for knee scooter instructions and videos
Do the knee scooters fold down?
Yes, all knee scooters fold down. Instructions are here: how to fold a knee scooter for transport
